By 1963, this particular design of pushbutton transmission controls had worked its way down to lower models such as the Dodge Dart and Plymouth Valiant.
Did they not believe in putting the cars in Park back then? I learned to drive in a Dodge Dart with push button transmission controls but could have sworn there was a P for Park.
The park was the slide lever to the side of buttons. Down to park and up when in gear or neutral.
I had 2 of those and they worked perfectly.
