Seen here is a “LeMans W126”. In the late 1980s, Mercedes released a series of posters and ads featuring a W126 with a Sauber C9 front end and a rear mounted engine. This was not only to celebrate the success of the C9 but also to showcase the “sportines” of the W126. An unknown dealer would go on to build this “real” version.
